Tetra Tortoise Food. With very particular nutritional requirements, tortoises need a well formulated high quality food.
Tetra tortoise has been developed in conjunction with leading tortoise veterinarians to ensure it delivers the right nutrition in the right format. Therefore, it can provide the main part of a tortoise's diet, without needing extensive supplementation with herbs and grasses etc.
High fibre content (22%) of the right type to encourage natural fermentation process, for a healthy digestive system.
Low protein content (9%) of the correct protein type (plant proteins) to ensure health and avoid the accumulation of uric acid. All essential vitamins, trace elements and minerals. Correct calcium to phosphorus ratio (2:1) and vitamin D3 for healthy bone and shell development. Use of red "cob" format for high acceptance and to provide a more natural food format.
The cobs should be lightly moistened before feeding.
