A specially treated media, which makes the water more acidic and lowers the carbon hardness.
 
Torf is recommended for soft water fishes in order to achieve a tropical aquatic environment.
 
Eheim Torf Pellets chemically influence the pH value and water hardness.
Torf expands in water, therefore lightly rinse rather then wash before use. 
Torf must be changed after 3-6 weeks of use. 
 
Do NOT use Torf together with activated carbon.
