Black crickets are a good, readily available food source for most insectivorous reptiles. As adults, they have a slightly more 'crunchy' exoskeleton, and a higher tendency to 'nip'. It is therefore suggested that if you have reptiles with very delicate skin of picky feeding behaviour, you opt for either brown crickets or smaller locusts as a primary food source.

Like with all foods, it is vital they are in optimum condition and your crickets will need feeding just like your reptile. You can feed your crickets a variety of fruit and vegetables.
