Nina Ottosson Toys

So many pet dogs lack mental and physical stimulation, leading to boredom and disruptive behaviours e.g. chewing. However, the right type of toy can help alleviate this boredom.

We are very pleased to be launching three new interactive dog toys, from the makers of the Dog Pyramid. The toys are designed to occupy and stimulate, whilst encouraging dogs to use their brains (yes they do have them!!).

They also encourage interaction between owners and dogs helping to promote a good relationship.

NINA OTTOSSON DOG TOYS - BRICKNINA OTTOSSON DOG TOYS - BRICK
An ingenious game for you and your dog dogs

Dog Brick: Hide dog snacks or dry food bits in the cavities under the bricks. Let the dog search for the snacks by moving the bricks aside, either with the paw or the nose. It is not possible to lift the bricks. Ingenious and full of fun.

Make it more difficult...

...Moreover you can increase the degree of difficulty by locking the bricks with blocks the same type of blocks as used in the big DogSmart. Now the dog has to lift the blocks in order to push the bricks aside and thus reach his/her snacks. You can also put some (pegs/sticks from trees) between the bricks and lock the bricks.

The Idea …

… with Dog Brick is, of course, that you and your dog will have a fun and enjoyable time together. You demonstrate. The dog watches, listens and learns.

Together you have fun !

NINA OTTOSSON DOG TOYS - BOXNINA OTTOSSON DOG TOYS - BOX
”Throw into the box“ a rewarding game for dogs.

An amusing game for dogs to be played together with their master or mistress, a game that develops the dogs intelligence and puzzle-solving skills. The dog is to learn to put toy blocks into a box with holes on top. The game has three degrees of difficulty. When the dog succeeds in getting the block into the hole, treats is falling out.

Place several treats piled upon each other on the rubber edging on top of the sloping board of the box. See to it that the treats can fall down, try out the way that is best for the treat you use before letting the dog try. Start by placing a block (or a ball) a bit away from the hole of the upper board in order to achieve that the dog is going to push the toy block deliberately into the hole so that the treat will fall out.

If the dog tries to strike with the paw or tries to put in his nose in order to take the treat, just put your hand over the hole and point at the toy brick.

Now place the toy block on the floor in front of the toy – use the command “Fetch” or whatever command you prefer to use and lead the dog’s attention with a movement of your hand to the hole and say “Let go” or a similar command. If the dog misses the hole – that happens quite often in the beginning, put a small treat in front of the toy as a reward that the dog let go the toy block so near the hole.

An exciting and activating game for you and your dog

Dog Fighter: the dog is to look for dog snacks by moving blocks in four different directions, the block can only be lifted up at the end of each track, underneath each block there is a hollow where snacks can be hidden…

Tip: you can vary the game by using more than one block in the same track…

If the the dog wants to throw him/herself on the game and hit hard with its paw, then teach it to work with the nose. One suggestion is to put the Dog Fighter on a stool which is adapted to the size of the dog.
